<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>In recent years, Acinetobacter baumannii is one of the most important nosocomial pathogens all over the world . A. baumannii is known for its ability to survive in hospitals for a long period, is prone to the development of multiple antibiotic resistance, and its role in the development of serious infections in critical patients is also undeniable. The article describes the main virulence factors of A. baumannii - pili, lipopolysaccharides, outer membrane vesicles, lipases, biofilms, endotoxin, capsular polysaccharide, secretion system. The described virulence factors and the accumulated resistance mechanisms form a serious nosocomial pathogen.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>антибиотикорезистентность</kwd><kwd>патогенез A.baumannii</kwd><kwd>вирулентность</kwd><kwd>физико-химические факторы</kwd><kwd>антибиотикке төзімділік</kwd><kwd>вируленттілік</kwd><kwd>физика-химиялық факторлар</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Acinetobacter baumannii</kwd><kwd>MDR A. baumannii</kwd><kwd>antibiotic resistance</kwd><kwd>pathogenesis of A. baumannii</kwd><kwd>virulence</kwd><kwd>physicochemical factors</kwd><kwd>A. baumannii патогенезі</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Алексеева Е.
